How to Recognize Witchcraft in Children and Understand Its Causes

 I. What is Witchcraft?

Witchcraft is the practice of occult activities that invoke invisible spiritual forces—usually demonic entities—to manipulate, control, harm, or gain unauthorized spiritual power.
It is one of Satan’s main tools to imitate God’s authority and corrupt innocent souls, especially children, who are spiritually vulnerable.

  • Or the use of such things for spiritual manipulation, enchantment, or deception.

 II. How Does the Devil Capture Children—In the Family and in the World?

Satan knows that children are the arrows of the future (Psalm 127:4), so he seeks to corrupt them early and divert them from their divine destiny.

 A. In the Family: The First Spiritual Breach

1. Spiritual Negligence of Parents

  • Lack of prayer, worship, and teaching of the Word;

  • No spiritual covering or guidance;

  • The enemy finds an open door through passivity.

2. Constant Conflict and Chaos in the Home

  • Frequent arguments and disorder attract evil spirits;

  • Children feel insecure and spiritually unprotected.

3. Inherited Occult Ties

  • Some are even dedicated to spirits before birth.

 B. In the World: Satan’s Global Strategy

1. Through Media and Technology

  • Cartoons, series, and movies promoting magic, spells, and satanic symbols (e.g., Harry Potter, Miraculous, etc.);

  • Video games that include rituals, death, demonic powers;

  • Music that glorifies sexual immorality or spiritual darkness.

  • Some toys or items come from unclean spiritual sources.

 III. How to Recognize Witchcraft in a Child

A. Spiritual Signs

  • Resistance to prayer, the name of Jesus, or going to church;

  • Saying strange things about death, curses, demons;

  • Talking alone or to invisible “friends”.

B. Behavioral Signs

  • Sudden fits of rage or violent outbursts;

  • Isolation, persistent sadness, blank stare;

  • Total resistance to all forms of authority.

C. Physical Signs

  • Unexplained illnesses: night fevers, seizures, or vomiting;

  • Restless sleep, frequent nightmares;

  • Strange marks on the body (scratches, burns, occult symbols).

 IV. What to Do If a Child Is Affected

  1. Consecrate the Child to Jesus Christ
    Pray over the child and break every demonic claim in Jesus’ name.

  2. Spiritually Cleanse the Home
    Remove all objects, music, videos, or items that carry spiritual contamination.

  3. Pray with Spiritual Authority
    Use the name of Jesus Christ to command evil spirits to leave (Mark 16:17).

  4. Fast and Pray as a Family
    Build a spiritual environment of fire and intercession in the home.

  5. Teach the Word of God Daily
    Help the child grow in spiritual truth and recognize the difference between good and evil.

Witchcraft in children is not a myth—it is a real spiritual battle. Satan is trying to form a generation of manipulated youth to destroy the future. But praying parents and spiritually alert churches can break the chains and restore children to their divine calling.
